4-chlorotoluene is an intermediate in the manufacture of cypermethrin, strobilurin, aliconazole and pesticides such as fluroxypyr, fenitrothion and oxacillin, etc.; it can also be used in the manufacture of p-chlorobenzaldehyde, which can be used as an intermediate in dyestuffs and pharmaceuticals; p-chlorobenzoyl chloride is an intermediate in the pharmaceuticals, which is an anti-inflammatory; and p-chlorobenzoic acid can be used as a raw material for dyestuffs and textile finishing agents.
