Glyphosate, scientific name N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine. It is a non-volatile white solid in pure form, with a melting point of about 230°C and accompanied by decomposition. Generally processed as amine salt aqueous agent. It is a low-toxicity herbicide with systemic action and a wide weed-killing spectrum, and has a preventive effect on plants of more than 40 families, including monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous, annual and perennial, herbaceous and shrubby plants. It has strong destructive power to the underground tissues of perennial deep-rooted weeds, and can reach the depth that cannot be reached by general agricultural machinery.
