Product application: 
Methylparaben is also known as 4-hydroxybenzene methyl ester, and is used as food preservatives, after a series of exploratory studies, led to cosmetics as a preservative. Methylparaben has strong antimicrobial effect, the most prominent of which is the antimicrobial ability of molds, yeasts, but for some bacteria (Gram-negative bacteria, lactobacilli) the effect is poor, so it is often used in cosmetics with other preservatives.
