Biotin is necessary to maintain the development of animal skin, hair, hooves, reproduction and nervous system, but also to improve feed utilization, weight gain and so on. When lacking, growth is slow, reproduction is impaired, and dermatitis, hair loss, and skin keratinization occur. It is mainly used as an adjuvant for lesions caused by vitamin H deficiency and malnutrition.
